Wonder Woman Director reveals new poster of the movie

Director Patty Jenkins has released the first official poster, which is a trippy, kaleidoscopic look at the character, played by Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman sequel Wonder Woman 1984.

The poster features Gadot, 34, all suited up as Wonder Woman in shiny new gold armor and surrounded by a psychedelic and colorful background in the shape of Wonder Woman’s emblematic initial. The full-body coverage and space-age silhouette which has additional superpowers in the comics, bears a closer resemblance to one of the DC Universe’s other demi-goddess warriors, Big Barda.

Jenkins revealed the first Wonder Woman 1984 poster on her official twitter account, with a caption: “By now you've heard: [Warner Bros.] isn't going to Hall H [at the San Diego Comic-Con] this year. We're so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full-- But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…”

Gadot quoted the director's tweet and added: “I cannot wait to share #WW84 with you all!! Until then we thought you might want to see this... ????????

Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor returns to Wonder Woman 1984, while Kristen Wiig joins the party as the villainess Cheetah, one of Diana’s most iconic comic book adversaries. Pedro Pascal (Game of ThronesThe Mandalorian), will also feature in a yet unknown role.

The film will be hitting the big screens on June 5, 2020.
