Tribute to Women Power

Women have always been suppressed in the kind of patriarchal society we live in. Yet there are several women who refused to submit themselves or their dreams in the hands of patriarchy. They fought; they achieved; even failed at times and won it all back but never gave up. Today here pay tribute to few such women who were unstoppable, fierce and fearless in their walk of life.

1. Ahilyabai Holkar: Queen of Malwa / Indore: Often cited as the "philosopher queen", her reign lasted for 30 years. She personally led armies to the battleground and achieved new heights and prospered her region.

It is impossible to mention all the women who broke the glass ceiling and went on to follow their dreams in an era when women were not even allowed to step out of the house alone.

Team Jiyo Woman salutes all those ladies as well who raised all the great men and women. It is because of their values and upbringing that they could conquer the world.
