Transformation of “SHE”; Let Her

Along with India’s Independence, women have also built up the freedom to accomplish everything. Yes, the status women are changing for the better. But have you observed the changing phase of the women in the contemporary society. Women are compelling, bold, and independent as compared to the later centuries in India. But sadly certain parts of India, is still suppressing the women. The question is why? Will Celebration of Women’s day every year swap the scenario? The scenario will improve with an alteration in people’s mind-set. To enlighten us, Bollywood directors have made incredible women-eccentric films like Dangal, Queen, Chak de India, English Vinglish, Mardani, Mary kom and that has influenced the outlook of the masses and has stirred the women to the core .  Modern women-oriented movies in comparison with the 90s women based movies is contrasting. During the 90s the epic movies like Mother India(1957),Aandhi(1957), Bhumika:The Role(1977), Arth(1982),Mirch Masala(1987),Damini(1993) are based on women battling the atrocities of the society. But the current women based movies are offbeat.

Unlike in Mother India, directed by Mehboob Khan, is a melodramatic movie whereas “English Vinglish” directed by Gauri Shinde comes up  with some unique concept on how a housewife can do wonders by challenging herself to learn English.

And lastly, women’s advancement in Sports is incredible. Women were believed to be the poorest section of the society but the latest films like Dangal, Chak de India, and Mary Kom has turned out an inspiration for countless women.
