Tollywood Rejoices “uncelebrate women’s day”

The first thing that comes in the mind of the people right after they hear the term “uncelebrate women’s day” is why are we talking about it so much. Each day in a year is the celebration of something or the other. We hardly talk about those days or show single-mindedness on it but somehow this particular “women’s day” theory has hauled the courtesy of many to a greater extent.

In the present scenario practically all the events are commercialized and portrayed from the business point of view. Same goes with “women’s day”.The shops and the galleries coming up with discounts and offers on selected products for the D Day. Therefore the video that went viral few days back was thoroughly apt. Chandreye Ghosh, Neha Panda and Parama were leading the entire video and others were also complementing them to come up with the proclamations like, “why is it always the girls are told to make tea for the guests when boys are sitting right beside her?”, why is a girl’s birthday present always a cookery set while the boys get remote controlled cars?, why are boys always told ‘don’t cry like a girl’?, why is a mother’s presence considered bad luck in son’s marriage? Etc. They raised queries like this and honestly speaking our society has no answer for these till now.

“আবার it is women’s day and suddenly everything starts feeling so different as if the sun has risen from the west. The social media is again going to be flooded with hash tags, happy ‘women’s day’, honestly is there anything to be happy about?” says Chandreyee Ghosh, the Tollyood actress. The final word for them goes as #UncelebrateWomensDay
