Whoever said, ‘Age is just a number’ was absolutely true.!! Meet Mrs. India Rinku Bhakat of Purulia. She entered the prestigious ‘Mrs. Asia beauty pageant 2017’ at the age of 41 and guess what, she came out outmaneuver in her journey. The competition was held between November 26 and December 1.
Her journey, that began in Huchukpara, Purulia 4 decades ago, has been quite an interesting ride so far. Never for a single minute, had she had any thought of participating in any beauty contest. The wife of a major, whose life changed right after she participated in the beauty competition of Himachal Pradesh. While this family was posted in Mandi, she came across a local beauty pageant and suddenly decided to participate. Rinku was shocked when the winner’s name was announced. She defeated all other contestants. Many of them were younger to her age to win the coveted ‘Mrs. Himachal Pradesh’ crown. This was Rinku’s first stepping stone who now has far more confidence than ever. Later she decided to participate in the national-level show.
Her next destination was Shanghai, the venue for ‘Mrs. Asia’ show. At the end of November, she flew to Shanghai. After reaching the venue, she came to know that she would have to participate in the ‘Mrs. Asia International Popularity’ contest. She knew she had to impress the judges with her poise, intelligence and her sphere of work and that’s what she did.
Meeting with Reality:
Despite all the fame and trump, the mother of a teenaged son’s feet are firmly grounded and she is fully aware of all her responsibilities. She has no interest to participate for ‘Mrs. World’ just for one single reason, she doesn’t feel confident in the robe (the bikini round). Not to mention she is inclined towards folk art and working for the betterment of the homogeneous art forms for our country. Her next plan is to start a homogeneous scheme in Purulia soon.
