The Sensational comeback of Gymnast Dipa Karmakar

There is a famous saying of the Gold Medalist Matt Biondi:

“Persistance can change failure into extraordinary achievement”.

Winners never quit and quitters never win… who knows it better, but the Bengal pride from Tripura, Dipa Karmakar. She not only breached the international standards of sports but also overcome all kinds of challenges to be the winner.

When international media talks about the comeback of Serena Williams after her pregnancy, Rafael Nadal after his injury, David Beckham after a torn Achilles tendon, they kind of missed out on Dipa Karmakar. She was out of the circuit since last two years owing to a severe injury. This Dabangg lady made a daring comeback and became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup which was held in Mersin, Turkey, last week.

For a gymnast, it is not easy to make a comeback, as physical fitness and weight problem are the foremost impediments to their success. She overcame all the barriers and eschew those hindrances. Dipa’s comeback is nothing but a perfect example of her tenacity and will to succeed. Dipa is a living example for those people who are tussling with their situation.

More power to you girl.
