‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ maybe about the same-sex relationship but actor Sonam Kapoor believes this movie should be considered as a ‘coming-of-age romance’ without any typical tag. For the first time ever, the actor is working with her father Anil Kapoor, which also features Rajkumar Rao and Juhi Chawla. She feels ‘Stereotypes are dangerous’.
Sonam even commented about the taboo. She said, “Labelling things is an issue. Being gay is a non-issue. Some of the people in films and fashion are gay and there is nothing but pride, but things are not the same for everyone. We grow and learn about facts and we should try to embrace it.” She focuses on the fact that being a diva, a heroine it’s her responsibility to break the stereotypes. According to her stereotypes are dangerous. Sonam said it was really important for her that her character in the love story was realistic. “Just because you have to love somebody that might not be of the opposite sex, does not mean you are different. Love is Love.”
