Forbes has named Robin Rihanna Fenty, the richest female musician in the world with a fortune of a whopping $600 million surpassing Madonna ($570m), Celine Dion ($450m) and Beyoncé ($400m).
The 31-year-old Singer doesn’t just get this fortune from her music though, Rihanna launched her own signature brand – Fenty Beauty in September 2017, taking the beauty world by storm. Her beauty brand gained popularity for its inclusivity for all skin tones and genders.
Originally from Barbados, the starlet rose to fame with her hit singles like Umbrella, Unfaithful, What’s my name etc. She has also appeared in a number of films. Rihanna started her venture into the fashion and beauty world by signing a deal with the luxury fashion brand LVMH, being the first woman of colour to achieve such a feat.
Always considered a style icon, Rihanna has been a favourite of the people for ages. Rihanna also launched her size inclusive lingerie line for women of all shapes and sizes called Savage x Fenty. Her lingerie line promotes a very body positive image and hence has been applauded for the campaigns and the message behind it.
Although Rihanna has already worked with brands like Puma as its creative manager and also River Island, her highly anticipated Fenty line with LVMH is expected to solidify the stance of women of colour in the fashion industry.
