Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made our proud with her achievements and representing India at the global platforms. She is not only a successful actress but also an active social worker. She is the goodwill ambassador of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for child rights. Impressed by her contribution to child rights Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been conferred with the UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award. She will receive the honor at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in December.
Priyanka has been working with the UNICEF since 2006. In 2010 and 2016 she was appointed as the national and global UNICEF goodwill ambassador for child rights. Environment, health, education, women’s rights and especially gender equality and feminism are the agendas she strongly propagates. On working with the UNICEF Priyanka says,
“My work with UNICEF on behalf of all the world’s children means everything to me. here’s to peace, freedom and the right to education.”
The actress shared the news with her fans through her social media handle. Professionally, she appeared in Todd Strauss-Schulson’s “Isn’t it Romantic” alongside Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth. She has also finished the shoot of Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” opposite Farhan Akhtar.
