At her age, most of her friends will be focusing on their studies or preparing for prom. But Melbourne teenager Jade Hameister, the 16-years-old kid has shifted her interest towards a different path.
She is the youngest to complete an inexplicable journey- traversing the North Pole, the South Pole, and Greenland. Her name is added to the world’s elite group of Arctic and Antarctic explorers. Jade is proud and thanks her family for being supportive. This little star told to the media that, “Dad climbed the Seven Summits when I was growing up, so I was always hearing and seeing pictures.” Her travel journey started in 2016 when she took a big trip to skied to the North Pole.
But do you know what irked her to achieve such a dream?
She was delivering a TEDx talk a few years ago, regarding why every girl must reach for their dreams. After that video, she received several nasty comments demeaning her like “Make me a sandwich”. She later gave a befitting answer to those saying, “I made you a sandwich (ham & cheese),” she wrote. “Now ski 37 days and 600 km to the South Pole and you can eat it.”
Kudos to you brave Lady…!
