Moubani Sorcar, a wonderful painter and actress since the year 2009 has shared her thoughts on Women’s Day with Jiyo Bangla. “আমাদের মতন তিনটে মেয়ে পেয়ে আমার মাবাবা খুব খুশি, আমরা যদি এরকম মেয়ে না হতাম, যে রাঁধে সে চুলও বাঁধে, তাহলে ওরা কষ্ট পেত|যতটা রান্নাঘরে কাজ করি, ততোটা স্টেজেও থাকি, ততটা ম্যাজিকও দেখাই|” (My parent are very happy to get three daughters like us. Had we been other type of women, they would have been sad. But we cook; we perform on stage and show magic with equal perfection.) To become a complete woman is like an achievement. “
Being a woman is a wonderful feeling কারণ ছেলে হলে আমি হয়ত এতটা powerful হতে পারতাম না|প্রথমত I believe in the power of women, একটা মহিলা যেভাবে একটা সংসার গড়ে তুলতে পারে, যেভাবে মোটিভেট করতে পারে তার যে সাংঘাতিক ক্ষমতা যেভাবে সমাজকে প্রভাবিত করতে পারে, এতটা ক্ষমতা ছেলেদের কাছে থাকেনা, that is why I feel every women should be celebrated and the womanhood should be celebrated always and every day. “If we are celebrating Women’s Day, then become a true woman, be yourself. It is lovely to be woman. So it’s always been a gift to have two sisters and we are grown up in a magical male scenario family set up. But I think there are more positive points to be a woman than man” she added.
