Momnesia

It is true that motherhood brings a host of changes in a woman, be it mental or physical. Moreover, it brings a lot of complications along with it. Amnesia is one such thing. Do you know what doctors call this problem? To them, its momnesia and it occurs mainly due to hormonal imbalances. Gynaecologists call it pregnant brain also.

Clinical tests differ at times but it is observed that pregnant women experience the worst possible problems with memory and it becomes more challenging for them. Memory loss to a certain extent is normal because at this stage, women focus on a lot of things.

Having good and healthy food is the only solution. Foods that contain zinc, magnesium, and Omega-3 fatty acids like whole grains, blueberries, coconut, beetroot, walnuts, and tomatoes are best to eat during this time.

All you can do is to follow a few strategies to cope up with the problems of momnesia. Try to maintain a certain order of things you need and where they belong. Make a list of your work on daily basis. If you have any appointments, make sure you jot down the details of the meeting and remember the name of the person involved. Sleep well and have good food. Share your work with family and friends and bring out time to listen to music and play indoor games to keep your mind fresh.
