Madhyamik 2019 will be “unprecedented”

A 12-year-old girl from Uluberia, Howrah is going to appear in class 10 board examination 2019 as an external candidate. West Bengal board of secondary education (WBBSE) has permitted Saifa Khatun, who was never admitted in school, studied at home to sit for the Madhyamik examination.

President of WBBSE Kalyanmoy Ganguly said, "She had successfully passed through our eligibility test for the external candidate. She will be appearing for Madhyamik 2019 in that category."

According to WBBSE, father of the candidate applied to the board earlier in the current year, but the date of such application had crossed at that time. So the officials of the board instructed him to appeal a fresh letter in the month of June. Because the eligibility test for external candidates occurs in the month of August. The girl has secured 42 in English, 48 in Bengali, 40 in Mathematics, 58 in Physical Science, 68 in Life Science, 56 in History and 60 in Geography which is 52% in total aggregate.
