Let Your Skin Do All The Work

First, wash your face with a facewash, put toner on it and then moisturize it with a moisturizer. Remember to wash, tone and moisturize every day! This is like a mantra for girls that we follow to get perfectly flawless skin. On top of that we put make up. Still, we are not satisfied with the results at times. Different skin care regimes are seen doing rounds on the internet that might cost us a fortune someday. Recently, another new skincare routine has been in the headlines that might give you some relief from your whopping bills on skincare products. So, the new thing in town is ‘skin fasting’.

Like when we fast we don’t eat, it’s a similar procedure. All the different kinds of products do hydrate our skin but our skin loses its ability to hydrate by itself. Our skin discharges some natural oils to nourish our skin and by putting several kinds of products we are interrupting the natural process.

A famous Japanese skincare brand says that our skin has an inherent ability to take care of itself even if the beauty products are not there. So, how do we follow this method?

Stop or minimize the use of all skincare products once or twice a week. This will help to grow back our skin’s natural protective barrier that got weakened by the regular use of several products. The use of products makes our skin lazy and it doesn’t feel the urge to producing natural hydration system anymore. So, forget all the products and let your skin do the work for a change.
