Jet…set…Launch!!!

India is gearing up to launch its first manned space mission, ‘Gaganyaan’ in 2021. According to sources, space agency ISRO is determined to fly out a woman astronaut among the three astronauts by the end of 2021.

At a news conference, ISRO chief confirmed this at a news conference in Bengaluru. To make the matter easier a trial based unmanned mission is scheduled for December next year and July 2021. They want women astronauts to be part of the human spaceflight. The astronauts will be chosen by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and trained by the Institute of Aerospace Medicine for Bengaluru. This mission will cost nearly 10,000 crores. India is gearing up to reach space by 2022.

The interesting part is after 6 decades Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to take an adventurous journey into the outer space in his Vostok spacecraft on 12th April 1961.
