Intimidated while Walking Alone? Know your Safety Norms

Safekeeping and welfare norms of women are presently at stake. Social rules have changed considerably and approach of the muggers have become different to a greater extent. Therefore, it becomes the duty of the women to deal with the snags diplomatically and does their best to stay safe. Let us discuss a few of them:

  1. The first and foremost term that comes to our mind is “defence”. Women-centric schools and colleges should make it certain that they are educating the pupils with proper self-defence.
  2. Be aware of your surroundings. When you are walking or travelling, don’t just concentrate on your mobile phones and earphones. Notice everything going on around you. Listen to all you can hear.
  3. Make use of your gut instincts and sixth sense. I am sure women are more powerful on this than men.
  4. You have every right to fight against all the odds you face. Take police help and keep the number on your emergency contact.
  5. When you are driving, lock all the doors but keep the windows open. Use the internet pretty wisely while driving. Do not open the door of your car unless the person on the opposite side is legitimate.
