India’s female racer -Mira Erda imagined becoming a racer at the age of 9

Woman all over the globe are shining and beating the odds to achieve their dreams. With the positive change in the society, they are becoming more self-reliant.  Another woman from Gujarat named Mira Erda, a female racer won the prestigious award from the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India in March.

Mira decided that she has to become a professional racer when she was 9-year-old.It is an incredible journey to know that at the age of 10, she participated in JK Tyre National Rotax Max Championship in India in 2010. She also went to Malaysia to enroll herself in many other races. She is not only challenging the National Karting Championship but also fighting to earn an appreciation at the International level. Her dream to make a name in the International level came true when she won several awards, particularly in Malaysia.

Recently she has given an interview to one of the newspaper where she was asked is it easier for girls to get in such kind of profession? To this question, she replied that the scenario has changed now. In fact, it is better in comparison to the days when I started my training. Today there are more facilities coming up and several kinds of championships and training programs are coming up. But the fact which needs to be looked up is that this sport is very costly and hence support from government and the sponsors are most important.
