From Bollywood to Google

Former Bollywood actor Mayoori Kango left acting to pursue her career in the corporate. She left an opportunity to be a part of the Kanpur IIT to pursue acting. She made her debut in 1995’s ‘Naseem’ that went on to win a National Award. She quit acting in the early 2000s and joined New York-based digital agency as an associate manager and now she is the Head of Industry-Agency partnership at Google. Mayoori is popularly remembered as the muse of Jugal Hansraj in the song ‘Ghar se nikalte hi’ from the movie Papa Kehte Hain. In 2003 she got married to NRI Aditya Dhillon and settled down in the US. She relocated in Gurgaon, India in 2012 and worked as a chief digital officer of a London-based marketing and advertising firm for four years. After that, she joined Performics and now Google. She is having a really great run in the corporate world. Few of the movies she appeared in are: ‘Papa Kehte Hain’, ‘Badal’, ‘Betaabi’, and others. Apart from movies, she has also appeared in television serials including ‘Kaahin Kissii Roz’, ‘Kittie Party’, ‘Kkusum’, etc.
