On 8th March 2018, Dev attended music launch of his upcoming movie “Kabir” and there he announced that in his production he will be making the biopic of the legendary figure Subhasini Mistry who received Padmashri. She was only 23 years of age when she lost her husband due to poverty. She worked for more than 20 years as a housemaid and then as a labourer. She also became a vegetable seller after that just to run her family of four children.
Presently she is 70 years old and she built a hospital for the poor in memory of her long lost husband and is catering to the need of those under privileged people who suffer due to lack of appropriate medical treatments.
Subhasini Mistry is conferred with the India’s fourth highest civilian award till now award “Padmashri” for her excellent works throughout her life.
