It is too common for the pregnant women to suffer from Postpartum Insomnia around 32 weeks of pregnancy and almost 8 weeks after delivery. This happens for many reasons especially due to the mental stress. But all we need is to guide them with the best solutions so that they can come out of this Postpartum Insomnia.

  1. Never try to do all the work alone. Share it with your partner or others in the house. Stress can lead to insomnia.
  2. It is best to sleep when your little bundle of joy is also sleeping. Make that a habit because once it is awake you have to be a part of all its activities.
  3. Never get into any sorts of mental strife. You should understand that this will hamper your mental peace and finally result into sleeplessness.
  4. Try to avoid any sorts of food that includes caffeine. Caffeine brings difficulty in sleeping; therefore take attempts to restrict your caffeine intake in less than 2 cups a day.
  5. If you have a habit of exercising regularly then include meditation, deep breathing and muscle relaxing workouts. This will help you calm down and stay healthy.
  6. Make sure you are turning off all your electronic gadgets at least one hour before sleeping. These are the stimulants that disturb the sleep.

Gestation is the most important phase in a woman’s life and one should not get into any sorts of compromises during this time. Therefore make sure you have good food and good sleep in this time. Stay away from the snags of Postpartum Insomnia.
