A noble initiative created by Kolkata Gives Foundation

Kolkata Gives Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organization concluded the most unique and special Football League at The Calcutta Punjab Club (Lawn Tennis Courts) on 4th August.

The football league was played between destitute girls of several NGOs in the city and girls from private schools. The Football League started its journey on 8th July 2018, where ten NGOs participated- CSP, Future Hope, Help Us Help Them, Samarithan, Nayantara, Uthnau Mallarpu, Parivaar, Piyali, Tljala and SFC.  On the other hand, private schools like La Martiniere for Girls, The Newtown School, Indus Valley World School, South City and Modern High School participated with full enthusiasm in this football league. The chief guest for the league was Mr. Pradeep Chatterjee, Retired vice Admiral of the Indian Navy along with the trustees of Kolkata Gives foundation- Mr. MudarPatherya, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Mr. SauravDugar, Mr. AnantNevatia, Mr. ShyamSundar Agarwal, Ms. Mukti Gupta, Mr. MuditBagla and Mr SomnathSengupta.

Speaking about the occasion, Mr. MuditBagla, one of the trustees of Kolkata Gives Foundation, said,I feel so proud to be a part of such initiative. This Football League is a day to remember reminding everyone that sports unite and heals everyone. We look forward to build such wonderful memories and spread smiles across our patrons. On 4th August, both the semi-final and final were held. The participants received recycled backpacks along with a memento.
